I’m Kira. I am a boxer/hound mix and I am 4 years old. I am very smart and know most of my basic commands from completing puppy training classes. I’d love to learn more so that I can show off my good manners! I am incredibly sweet and I love other dogs so I would like to find a new family where there is a dog my size that I can romp with.

I’m also crate-trained, so after a good play-session, I’m happy to curl up in a cozy crate for a good snooze or just some down-time. If you think we could be a great match, go to www.momsrescueva.org and complete an application!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kira, a Richmond Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
