Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hemi is a cute, sweet boy. He knows sits and he loves treats so it'd probably be easy to teach him more using the treats as enticement and reward. Hemi's a little shy right now. The shelter can be overwhelming for some dogs. It's the most dogs they've ever seen!
Hemi is estimated to be 7 years old and weighs only 42 pounds. These pups with the short hair put out a lot of heat so you can use one as a foot warmer on the chilly nights. Hemi looks like he rubbed his nose trying to get out of his cage. Dogs get bored and lonely if left alone for long periods. They need some regular exercise and mental stimulation. Some dogs need more than others and some dogs are couch potatoes!
Hemi came to the shelter on Nov. 1st (he must have wandered too far from home). He is currently available for adoption. Hemi is up to date with shots, has been neutered and will be micro-chipped upon adoption. Hemi is in Run 52 and his ID is 590078. Sadly, he has tested positive for heartworms but with treatment should be good as new in no time. Please speak to your veterinarian regarding treatment options.
When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
