Copper is a 43 pound, 12 year old lemon beagle. For almost all his life he was the close companion of a beagle-loving gentleman, who recently passed away. The man's daughter couldn't keep him, because she already had four dogs, and so she sadly gave him up to B&B. She told us that he has had a good life and described him as a "doll". He gets along with other dogs, kids, and even cats. He is a very friendly dog and loves being around people. His very first day at B&B, he kept going up to potential adopters and wanted to make friends. He seems well behaved, and hasn't been food aggressive. However, if you have food, he'll howl at you until you share! He's great at catching food in his mouth.
His late owner's daughter left with us extensive files about him, including medical records that his future family will be able to take with them.
The last pic on the page shows him with his late owner when he was just a year old in 2005, and now at 12 years old.
His one issue is that he's had kidney stones, so he is now on a special diet to prevent more.
