Sadie's Story...
Hi! My name is Sadie and it has been a tough road for me and my mom. Our person was having lots of problems and was reported for not taking care of us. When the authorities came back the 2nd time, they found our person dead and we were just walking around, not knowing what to do. I need a good home where I can be safe and loved. Won’t you please open your heart and help me get a new start? I am a good girl that came from a bad place.

My mom (Katie) just got her new forever home and she told me when she was leaving ”You just stay strong. We’ve made it this far and you are going to be OK! I promise.” Well, she is happy with her new family and I have good friends here that I go out with every day to play. But won’t you PLEASE be my new family? I am a good girl and I just want a forever family to love me. Please open your heart and your home for me so we can tell my mom…”I AM OK and I have a new family, too!”

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Urbana Labrador Retriever/Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Coonhound for sale in Urbana, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Coonhound dog from a breeder in Urbana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Urbana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Urbana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Coonhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Urbana paves the way for another one to be saved.
