Hi. My name is Nordika and I came here with my friends Larson and Balto. Our person had to relocate and could not take us with him. It was so hard for him to say good-bye to us and leave us here. Sometimes people have to make really tough decisions. I know I’m an older boy, but I’m a good boy. Won’t you please think about helping me make a new start? I wish the 3 of us could stay together…so if you have a big place maybe you can make a deal with the shelter for the 3 of us?
Barely Used Pets is not your typical "Shelter" or "Rescue". Our Environment offers a free roaming society where the dogs are not kenneled all day but are able to socialize and run freely within a confined, fenced area. Our residents are able to roam inside and outside as weather permits. All of our dogs are socialized and assessed on a daily basis. This environment aids in the transition from Shelter to Home when the dog(s) are adopted. Each dog is kenneled at night with a group of matched dogs, each kennel has a dog house cots and toys. When a potential adopter visits he/she can she how each dog interacts with other dogs both larger and smaller as well as how a dog responds to meeting new people. Please come and visit our Facility to see for yourself the difference it makes!

to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
