My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bonnie is a very pretty, medium sized girl, about 5 to 7 years young. It is hard to determine a breed, but she looks like a Retriever, Labrador and/or Shepard mix. The shelter described her as followed: “She is rather hesitant to allow anyone to approach her too closely. She shows no signs of aggression; she just tries to keep her distance. Her eyes and facial expression, as well as her demeanor seem to indicate that she is actually a sweet dog, with some very real trust issues and that she is fearful.”
Since she was lucky enough to come in a foster home with Friends of Rescue in Huntsville, Al she can show now how sweet she is, giving kisses all day long. She will be very loyal to her humans. She likes to learn and is doing well with basic commands. She is fully house broken, crate trained and can stay alone for several hours. Cats are accepted as part of the family, squirrels and birds not so much. Therefore, she needs a high fenced in backyard to be safe and to run off her energy. Bonnie is doing very well with leash training and would be a wonderful partner for sportive activities. Kids in their teens would be great for her. With continued basic obedience training she will get the structure she needs to become a happy and confident dog.

With her adoption fee you will get the whole package: Bonnie is spayed, micro-chipped, up to date with all vaccines, heart-worm, worms and flea prevention. Does Bonnie look like a good fit for you? Then please fill out an application at www.forrescue.net. That is the fastest way to get more information and get in contact with her foster family. Or you can email us at info@forrescue.net. Bonnie is fostered in Huntsville, AL.
