Stella's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Stella's Story...
We pulled stella from a shelter just before she gave birth to 9 all black puppies. The puppies have all found their forever homes and now its mom's turn. Stella has a high prey drive so she should not go to a home with cats. She needs a big backyard with a privacy fence. Stella is crate-trained and housebroken. She LOVES tennis balls (especially the squeak kind) and ice in her water bowl that she can bob for the ice. She waits patiently for food and is very gentle taking it from your hand. For more information on stella email info@forrescue.net. Stella is fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Hagerstown Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pointer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
