Maggie is a great dog who was rescued from the Greenville shelter where she was quickly running out of time.  She is a mix of a lot things, possibly including some chocolate Labrador retriever and Vizsla.

Maggie is a beautiful chocolate brown color and is a great size weighing around 40 pounds.   The vet estimates that she is between 3-4 years old.  She is friendly, playful, and good with other dogs and children.  Maggie is housetrained, crate trained, and can use the dog door.   Smart girl!   Maggie knows how to sit and is polite on a leash.  She is great on walks, in the car, and at the kids' soccer games.  Maggie is looking for a home where she will get lots of love and plenty of exercise.  Her favorite thing is to snuggle on the couch.  Maggie is prone to darting out of open doors so she will require special attention for that and will also require a secure fence.  She also could use some training for basic commands.

Maggie is heartworm negative and will be available in several weeks after her spay surgery.  To meet this sweet girl, please complete an online application through:  www.legacyhumanesociety.org.

Come Meet Our Pets...

To meet our pets, contact us about any dog/puppy you are interested in and we'll set up a meeting time/date between the adopter and foster home.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be UTD , current on HW prev and S/N. If a home visit is needed we will compele that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fee is $200 for dogs ad $250 for puppies. We spend an average of $300 on each dog/puppy, so the adoption fee helps pay for the vetting for future dogs we bring into the program. Their is a 5 day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family.
