My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Copper
Sex: Male
Breed: Heinz 57 mix.
Age: 1 yr old
Weight: Approx. 45 lbs
Good with: people, dogs and kids. Untested with cats

Copper is approx. 1 year old and is from Tennessee. He is really good around dogs and kids, he is a really sweet boy. We have no idea what mix he might be, but he is the HAPPIEST boy!

Copper is a high energy dog that LOVES giving kisses to every human friend he meets. He also loves just about every treat and his red Kong ball is his favorite toy...even without anything inside it! His favorite activities include fetch, wrestling, playtime with other dogs and nice long walks where he can make new human friends!

He enjoys sleeping in his crate at night and during the day enjoys his naps on the couch. He's VERY good in his crate. Copper knows "sit" and "wait", walks well on a leash, is house trained and crate trained, but will pee when he's very happy and excited. This boy will do anything for a kiss or treat so he should be easy to train. :)
Copper dislikes fast movements or loud, sudden noises, but is getting better everyday. He also dislikes putting his harness on, but he's working on it. He's a little mouthy and enjoys nibbling on his human's knuckles when he doesn't get enough pets. He needs A LOT of attention but does enjoy his time in his crate. He needs things to keep him busy so brain games or another pup companion are great! This guy is a counter surfer so if you leave out delicious smelling things, he's going to make an attempt to grab it.
Copper would most likely do best in a home with another dog to show him the ropes and build his confidence.
