Additional info: Sweetie was part of a hoarding case so she was a little shy and insecure at first athough she has warmed up and settled down and is making great progress. She is very obedient and wants to please. She is friendly and affectionate. She loves small dogs but is afraid of larger dogs. .She is crate trained. We do not recommend her for a home with young kids because of her skittishness. She may be a door darter so she needs a secure home because she could take off if she gets scared. She is afraid of men and we are working with her to help her feel more comfortable. We tried to foster her with a home where there were two greyhounds and it was too stressful for her. She would do better as an only dog or at least share her home with a dog closer to her size. She is a sweet girl who seems to have had puppies in the past. She is great on the leash and a good little traveler. She just curls up and goes to sleep in the car. Sweetie is a wonderful companion and a really special girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweetie, a Encino Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Encino, or seeking a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
