Additional info:

Millie was a very timid girl when first entering the shelter, but she is opening up more everyday. She adores attention from both men and women and gets along well with strangers. She sleeps well in her crate at night, is house broken and is an overall easy dog. She was initially adopted from the shelter and returned but no reason was given. We do not recommend her for a home with young kids because she has been known to snap at them. She had puppies before she entered the shelter as she was post-lactation when she came in. She is, however, a little picky with other dogs when they are too high energy or when they invade her space. She may prefer to be the only dog in the home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Encino Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Havanese for sale in Encino, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Havanese dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Havanese breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
