Poor Dusty has been through the ringer.  We sadly have no history on him, he was found as a stray and taken to the shelter.  Coat is in rough shape, but with a good groom and proper diet, in a few months he will look as good as new.  Best guess on breed is Pom mix, roughly around 6-7 years old, about 8 lbs.  LOVES going on walks and food.  As soon as you take the leash, he pops up his little tail and gets so excited!  He requires some patience right now as he learns to trust people again.  Dusty is great with other dogs, hasn't cared about cats.

Adoption donation $350, includes his neuter, rabies, dhpp vaccine bordatella vaccine, microchip, worming, frontline, heartworm test, heartgard.

About Field Of Dreams Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

The mission and vision for Field Of Dreams Rescue is to save dogs of all sizes and all breeds by placing them into loving, forever homes. We are an all-volunteer, foster home based, dog rescue organization based in northern California. We do not have a physical shelter. Instead, we operate primarily through our foster homes, online databases and at adoption events/expos.
The majority of our animals come from animal control groups where overcrowding and overpopulation lead to the euthanasia of millions of healthy, friendly pets every year.
We are committed to providing the dogs that come Field Of Dreams Rescue with the best possible care while they wait for their forever homes by acclimating them to life outside of a shelter and providing the appropriate veterinary care needed.
We also serve our community and adopters by educating and encouraging responsible pet ownership with an emphasis on the need for spaying and neutering.
Because our foster homes are the backbone of Field Of Dreams Rescue, and to help our organization run smoothly, it is our goal to provide the best experience possible. We encourage each foster home to be as involved as they are comfortable with and allow them the freedom to foster based on their needs, restrictions, or desires.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All dogs go into foster homes, appointments can be made daily to meet dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

Field Of Dreams Rescue typically charges adoption donations from $200 to $400 depending on the age and breed of the dog. This amount covers our cost for basic vet care for our healthy animals which includes spaying/neutering, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping. Frequently, medical expenses for a single dog far exceeds the adoption donation. A few days of emergency care can easily run over $1000. Many of our volunteers contributed personal funds to help offset costs for our dogs, but every single dollar received from adoption donations goes directly to care for our animals. Any "extra" received goes towards those dogs that require more extensive medical care. When we are able, we bring in dogs that may have some minor or even major health concerns as these types of dogs are more at risk of euthanasia than healthy ones.
In general, adopting a dog is much more economical than "buying" a dog from a store or breeder. A "purchased" dog plus vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip can easily exceed $2000 depending on the breed.
