Hi: I am Nubia, one of Besita's "African Safari" puppies. We are all named with the theme of Africa in mind. There are seven of us. The girls are: Kenya, Nubia, Zambia, Somalia and Angola. The boys are; Mandela and Serengeti.
You are welcome to look at photos of our beautiful mommy, Besita. She has her own profile too. Our mommy, Besita, was living on a farm in North Georgia. The farmer really did not take great care of his pets and none of us were fixed. Not surprisingly, our mommy Besita ended up getting pregnant. Well, the farmer was not happy when our mommy became round and her tummy full of babies. He threatened to shoot her so that he did not have to deal with us puppies. Some nice people got wind of the situation and came to the rescue of our pregnant mommy. She had just given birth to the seven of us and we were all saved when we were 1-2 days old.
Our mommy looks to be a retriever mix of some sort (lab or possible duck tolling). She is only about 2 yrs old and 41 lbs. The farmer states that the daddy dog is his blue eyed catahoula leopard dog. Based on the markings of the puppies, this is most likely true although there could possibly be more than one daddy dog. It's just a guessing game. We are growing very well and are healthy. We can't go home until we are 8 weeks old which is January 1, 2017 ! We will be medium to large dogs in adulthood. It would be best if we are adopted by active families, fenced yard preferred. All of us are looking for loving, committed, lifelong homes. We are stunningly beautiful puppies and will grow into exceptional dogs with proper care/training. Thank you for admiring us

About Our Rescue Group...

Angels Among Us Pet Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer-based organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in Georgia. We operate through a network of foster homes in the metro Atlanta area.

Our efforts are funded by tax-deductible contributions from compassionate people and organizations who care and want to help make a difference... one pet at a time.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our animals are in our network of foster homes. We do not have a shelter. Please go to www.facebook.com/angelsrescue/events to see our schedule of adoption events, or email inquiry@angelsrescue.org if you are interested in a specific dog.

Our Adoption Process...

The first step in adopting or meeting any of our dogs is to fill out an adoption application on www.angelsrescue.org.
Your application will be assigned to someone in our organization that will review it and contact you to discuss it. Please allow us at least 3 business days to contact you. We require a meet and greet with your current dogs (if applicable) and all family members (if possible) and a home check. Please note: Puppies under 4 months are not currently available for adoption outside the state of Georgia.
