My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Princess in the making, looking for her fairy tale ending.

My name is Emma, I’m 6 years young and weigh around 65 pounds. I don’t remember ever being happy or feeling safe in my entire life. I have always been itchy, hungry and afraid of what may happened next.

Now I’m living in heaven, but they call it a foster home. Who knew, such things as dog beds and food and water bowls that are being refilled existed? And let’s not forget toys, lots of toys, just for me! I love to play and sometimes when I just can’t contain my happiness I gallop. What? Have you never seen a princess galloping?

I’m rather shy and it took me some time to get used to my new environment and people but now I can’t help but be affectionate with my human family. I melt in my foster mom’s hands, and time stops when she is rubbing my belly or scratching my ears. My skin is healed and I even have all of my hair back. The aches and pains are all gone as well and I'm ready to have my very own fairy tale ending. I’m excited and can’t wait to meet my forever family! Is it you?

I’m good with older children, I get along with other dogs, and I even tolerate cats. I walk very well on leash, take treats gently out of hands and already know how to sit. What I don’t like are crates, those make me very nervous. Lucky for me, my foster mom said I don’t need to be crated as I’m already house trained. I hope my forever family will be patient with me and understand that I’m a princess in the making!
