My name is Penny and I was born on Valentine's Day 2012. I am a friendly, female, Seal Point looking for a home without too much drama. I am a confident, calm, lap-sitting, purring cat.

I applied and was accepted at MISR with the hope that they can find a new home for me.  My original home was hectic, with a mix of mom, kids and cats, but when a fiancé and dogs were added, it was just too much for me.

I tried to get rid of the fiancé by marking him and his sleeping spot with samples of my irritation but all it got me was a urinalysis.

I am now in a quiet foster home and feeling relaxed.  I am cheerfully using the litter box and have had no accidents.

I have been around children, however, I had to warn them if they were getting on my nerves but I never injured anyone.

I may get along with other cats but I am not sure about dogs. The consensus seems to be that I would do best as an only cat. However, if the introduction was handled slowly and properly, I may be able to live with another, nice cat.

I am a cat that enjoys lots of attention and human contact.  I want to be around humans all the time and I sleep right next to my foster mom. I also enjoy playing and have a favorite toy on a wand with feathers and a small bell.

I am just a tiny bit overweight and I am on a restricted diet. I've already lost one pound and hope to shed a few more. The vet said I should not lose weight too fast.

If you are interested in a confident, well-behaved (except for fiancés and dogs), lap-sitting, sleeping-next-to-you cat, please complete an application today.  Thanks for stopping by.

All MISR cats are FIV/FELV negative, spayed/neutered; current on rabies and distemper and all known health issues have been addressed.  The adoption fee for Penny is $150.
