I'm "Patches" and I'm a 6-week old orange and white kitten, and I'm here with my sister, Skyler. You talk about cuteness times two, we are it. We love attention and always greet everyone who comes into the room. We love to come out and play and run around the room and spread cute all around. Hey, we both need a home. One with a lot of room the run and jump and play, and a nice soft spot for a little catnap. Someone who loves to be loved would be very nice, because we have lots of love to share! We can't wait to meet you and make our way into your heart!

About Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

We are an animal shelter that cares for approximately 1,000 animals per year. We work with Mahaska County and the City of Oskaloosa, IA to provide animal control services and we also work through the Mahaska Humane Society to educate and promote responsible pet ownership as well as low cost spay/neuter services for low income pet owners.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The public can visit our adoptable pets at the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter any time during normal business hours. We are open to the public Tuesday-Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-4pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Potential adopters must complete a pre-adoption application in which questions regarding responsible pet ownership are asked. Once approved the adopter is allowed to adopt and must pay an adoption fee which varies based on the age and species of the animal being adopted. At the time of adoption the adopter must sign an adoption contract. All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
