AUSTIN HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Austin is a gorgeous 2-3 year-old Great Pyrenees/Collie mix male with an outstanding disposition to match his good looks. This poor guy tested positive for heartworms at a rural county dog shelter making it unlikely that he would be able to find a new home there. Fortunately, we were contacted for help so he made the trip to Canine Lifeline to get the lifesaving treatment that he needed. Austin went through heartworm treatment in early April and just tested negative at his 6-7 month post-treatment retest so he is now heartworm-free. Austin was adopted from us last May but recently returned as his owner developed some health problems that prevented her from being able to continue to care for him. Austin gets along great with other dogs and is as kind and gentle as they come. He lived with three small dogs in his adoptive home and was wonderful with them. He’s also been great with dogs of all sizes in his foster home. He is crate-trained and likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee that he won’t have accidents as he adjusts to a new environment. Austin is a little shy and unsure of himself in new situations but it doesn’t take him long to warm up and start giving out kisses. He walks quite well on a leash for a big guy. Austin weighs about 85 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, current on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email email@example.com if you’re interested in Austin. An approved application is required before we set up meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
