Gus is a 2.5 year old lab mix, who was rescued from a ranch when he was about 2 months old - the ranch hand's dog had a litter...the mom was a white lab. Gus is now a 100 pound, loving, well-behaved pet who needs a home with owners who can play with him and give him the attention and stimulation he deserves.
He’s great with all children (even toddlers) and other dogs but is now living in a home with elderly caretakers who can no longer properly care for him, and is having to move to a facility that won’t accept pets.
He is crate trained, knows a handful of commands, is house trained, neutered, heart worm negative and LOVES to carry stuffed toys around with him all day! Gus' owner is heartbroken to have to lose him. Anyone looking for a large, four legged family member should consider adopting Gus!
If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Gus is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
