Roscoe (Neutered)'s Story...
"Roscoe" is a handsome 2-year old old male kitty who arrived at the HSOV on November 7, 2016 after he was found in the Whipple Ohio area and brought to the safety of our shelter. "Roscoe" has a brown spotted tabby short smooth coat with white markings on his chest/paws, a long ringed tail, and a sweet white/brown tabby face with a pink nose. This big fellow has a friendly personality and is making the most of being in a small cage when he yearns to be exploring and stretching his legs. "Roscoe" was enjoying a late lunch when we took his Petfinder/Facebook photos but graciously allowed us to snap a few pictures :)

"Roscoe" was given vaccinations and wormer on November 7, 2016. He has been neutered and was given rabies vaccine on November 9, 2016. "Roscoe" was combo tested on March 14, 2017 and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV,and heartworm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roscoe (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
