Kendall had gone into a home as a stray and decided to hang around.  When nobody came looking for him, he was posted on social media as a free dog.  After the shelter learned about a serious family illness in the family where he had been staying, the humane officer picked up Kendall.  He is about one and a half years old and, though he is tall and lanky, he weighs only 41.6 pounds presently.  He is thinner than he should be and needs to put on some weight.  He is a smart dog, but he needs training. He would love to go for a good run, then have a little snack and some attention, and then curl up for a little nap with his family.  This dog is new to the shelter and still being assesses, but he has a lot of potential!  He is looking for the right family, one who will love and appreciate him.  Come meet this handsome boy!

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters should meet dogs/cats wanted for adoption. No animals will leave the shelter without being spayed/neutered, including those going to rescue. You are asked to fill out an adoption application which will be reviewed by the director of the shelter (a vet reference is needed). If approved the shelter staff will contact you and schedule an appointment with our vet to have the animal altered. The adoption fee is paid and the adoption contract signed before the scheduled surgery date. The process can be as soon as the following day or as long as a week depending on the vet's schedule. The adoption fee depends on the age, sex, if they fixed, etc. ranging from $5.00 to $68.00.
