Sequoia's Story...
"Big and beautiful...that's me! My name is SEQUOIA, and I'm a very loving and very sweet five-year-old pit bull. I have the best temperament around, so I'm friendly and cheerful, while still being fairly laid-back. I'd be a great family pet in a home with older kids, and I might even enjoy having another large doggie friend around. I'd need to meet the other dog, first, to make sure we get along. I walk beautifully on a leash, so you won't get pulled around. Can't you just picture us going out for a nice walk together? I know "sit" on command, and I have very good manners. I'd want to be a house dog in my new home, as I'll want to be your friend and companion. I'd appreciate a soft, comfy dog bed, unless you'd rather I keep you company up on your bed at night. Just a suggestion:) I've already been house trained and spayed, so I'm ready to move in and be part of the family. Please come visit me here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter so we can spend some time getting acquainted out in the lovely play yard that they have here. I know in my heart that you'll see what a very good girl I am, then maybe I can go home with you. I hope to see you soon! Love, Sequoia"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sequoia, a El Cajon Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
