Ricky's Story...
Adorable Chihuahua - 1 yr old, 6 lbs

Ricky might be the happiest dog who has ever come through the rescue.  Ricky hasn't met a person or animal he doesn't like. He loves kids, horses, cats, dogs and even peacocks.

Ricky has lots of puppy energy and loves to rough house with his foster sisters and brothers.  He would be a great hiking or running companion for an active person, and he would keep you entertained with his happy go lucky personality the entire time.

Ricky is about 10 months old.  He came across the border from Tijuana to start a new life in the U.S.  He would be incredibly happy in just about any family situation, and really wants other dogs to romp and play with.

Come meet Ricky and see how much joy he immediately brings you.

Our adoption fee through our rescue covers the dog being fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered, dewormed and flea treated. Please call 760-470-7643 Or email us at openarmsrescue@hotmail.com or stop by our website and fill out an online application at www.openarmsrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ricky, a Imperial Beach Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Imperial Beach, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Imperial Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Imperial Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Imperial Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Imperial Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
