My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

RONDU is a 11 year old neutered chocolate male Lab who weighs 60 pounds. Rondu is a sweet older gentleman who has a wicked lab lean. He’s a bit creaky in his back legs, so lots of stairs may be a challenge for him. He is fine with other dogs, but would prefer if they respect his age. We don't have any cat or kid history, so he's approved for kids 10 and up+.

Update: A letter of appreciation from Rondu:
Dear Lab Rescue,
Rondu here. You may have noticed that I've been quiet for a while. Well, I'm here today to thank Lab Rescue for paying for the surgery I had to yank 7 rotten teeth. Foster Mom says my breath no longer smells like a fresh pile of...umm...let's just say it was unpleasant.
When I first came to LR, I lost my family, my manhood (at 11 years old no less!!) and now 7 of my teeth. However, I feel better than I have in a long, long time!!
Being 11 helps you to put things in perspective. I know I'm just looking for a family to chill with. I don't need any bells or whistles...just a comfy bed, yours preferably and in fact I think I deserve at least that much, and someone to give me lots of cuddles.
That's all for now. I need to get FM to give me more soft treats for being such a good boy.

Update: Rondu's foster mom sent us an update in the form of a poem :)
Rondu is a sweet older man and finding a forever family is his plan.
Rondu enjoys taking naps...anywhere.
Rondu will nap on his bed or with your knee under his head.
He will nap standing on all fours. He'll nap in the entry way of doors.
He will nap in the sun or after playing and having fun.
While he naps he will let out moans and contented little groans.
Rondu's manners are good in the house. For the most part he is as quiet as a mouse.

Update: Rondu attended Sunday's adoption event. He met lots of nice new friends and continues to wait for a forever family. Watch him at the event here: https://www.facebook.com/LabRescueLRCP/videos/1147315762010925/

Rondu was an owner surrender to the shelter because his owners were moving overseas and couldn't take him.
