Ethel - Pending's Story...
Age: Approx 9 weeks (D.O.B. 09/05/16)

Ethel and her siblings were dropped off at Detroit Animal Care and Control when they were just itty bitty. Waggin’ Tails stepped up to foster as soon as they were available. Although they had a rough start they are now thriving, well-loved puppies. They have received age appropriate vaccinations and have been microchipped.

Approximate age / weight: 9 weeks and 11 lbs.

Personality: She's a puppy. Puppies are cute and bouncy and love to be cuddled. Each puppy has its own personality, of course. Some are more adventurous, some are a little timid, but they’re all at the stage where their personalities are still developing, and can be adjusted (to a degree) with training and socialization. Puppies are cute, but they also are a lot of work, and will need training and proper socialization to ensure they grow into well-behaved adult dogs.

Forever home: Young puppies can thrive in almost any situation, with the right guidance. What they need most of all is a family willing to put in the work and time to help them grow up, and to commit to caring for them their whole lives. Please remember, puppies don’t magically become well-behaved, well-adjusted adult dogs. It takes work and commitment on the part of their human family. They need to be taught where to potty, how to greet friends and strangers, and basic obedience. They need to be given lots of exposure to new people and situations to ensure that they are well socialized and confident.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ethel - Pending, a Northville Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Northville, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Northville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Northville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Northville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Northville paves the way for another one to be saved.
