Meet Jezzabelle. She is a year old dna tested malamute, shepherd, chow, siberian husky, rottweiler mix.

Jezzie was surrendered locally here in New England by her young owners that purchased her as a puppy in VT. Being in a crate all day as her owners were at work she was not getting the exercise and attention a pup of these breeds requires.

Jezzie is an active 50# girl that would do best in a home that is familiar with huskies as her temperament is most like a husky, super friendly, playful, excitable and active. Jezzie is currently fostered with larger older dogs who she is often trying to get to play so another active male dog would be great. Jezzie will try to assert her dominance as most adolescents do but is quickly put in her place. While she does do OK off leash in safe environments she will do best with a fenced yard and a dedicated owner that can walk and hike her often. Her owner will also need to be experienced in working with and handling dominant breeds and no young children.

Jezzie is fostered with exposure to livestock and fowl and is not overly excited by them.

Jezzie is a nice pup that will make an active person or couple a wonderful companion.

If you are interested in meeting this dog, please submit an application, which can be obtained by emailing lifesaversapps@outlook.com

We will conduct a phone interview, check references and then schedule a home visit. This helps us to match a dog with their potential adopter. The adoption fee is $400.00 for adults and $450.00 for puppies under one year which includes spay/neutering if older than five months of age, up-to-date age appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventative. We foster our dogs in homes, not in shelters. This allows us to get to know the dogs temperaments in order to match them to a home. This also allows us to get the dogs ready to live in their forever homes! All dogs coming from the south have been quarantined and vetted before traveling to New England with appropriate paperwork. About Pyrs & Paws Rescue and Referral

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of volunteers dedicated to saving Great Pyrenees and other dogs from kill shelters in the south mainly Texas where pet over population is a serious problem due to lack of spay and neuter. We have and will help local great pyrenees in need.

Our dogs are quarantined & vetted before coming north. We foster our dogs in our homes NOT a facility so we can get to know them and help them acclimate to living indoors as well as teach manners as many were ignored outdoor dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process consists of filling out an application, a phone interview, caliing your vet andor personal references, conducting a home visit.
We do require a fenced in yard or for the dog to be leash walked only. We prefer homes that do not have very small children. Large dog experience is also required. We do have a written adoption contract and our adoption fees range from $400 to $450 which include transport from TX, spay/neuter for pups over 5 months, age appropriate vaccines, negative heart worm test on adults, as well as health certificate.
