Facts about Julia

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red Tabby
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Julia is a beautiful orange tabby girl we rescued from an outdoor colony of cats we care for in Harlem. Julia was everyone's favorite colony member--she ran up to us for food and pushed her head into our hands for pets. So we scooped her up in a carrier last fall before it turned cold. Unfortunately Julia had to live in a crate for the first few months after we rescued her because the foster homes were all full. She hated it and became hissy. But as soon as we let her out of the cage she started to settle in, and now she is back to her loving self. We are all so relieved! But we are back in an emergency situation again because Julia's current foster has been told to reduce the number of cats in the home. The last thing we want is to have to put Julia back in a crate. Please let us know if you are interested in adopting Julia, or if you have some space--a spare bedroom or even a whole home--where Julia could have space to explore and continue to play and be affectionate. She enjoys the company of other cats, and she would love to meet more loving, caring humans too!

About PuppyKittyNyCity

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of volunteers who help community cats and rescue friendly stray cats and kittens. We are also working on initiatives to help reduce animal abandonment in Upper Manhattan!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have many cats with fosterers located throughout the five boroughs but also frequently go to adoption events. Just shoot us an email and we'll arrange a playdate with any kitty!

Our Adoption Process...

We typically send you a contract. After you complete and return it, we check your references and if everything is clear, schedule a time to do a home visit and then unite you with your future kitty! We often ask for a small nominal fee to cover the cost of care for our cats.
