Facts about Macy

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Macy is still a little unsure of herself but is blossoming into a sweet kitty. We rescued her along with 20 other cats from the alley of a small hotel on Manhattan's UWS this winter. It was very sweet that the housekeepers at the hotel fed the cats as much as they could, but the cats were still really roughing it. We found several newborn kittens dead in the area during our rescue mission. We did not have the option to return the cats to the area after we got them spayed/neutered and vaccinated because the hotel was not cooperating. Fortunately most of the cats were young and are becoming friendly with people--like Macy! Although we found short-term foster homes for most of them, some of those homes are no longer able to keep the cats for various reasons (travel, taking in other rescue cats). Please let us know if you have a fairly quiet space where Macy could be happy--and space for a crate where she could live in for the first week or so as she settles in (we would provide the crate). Macy is healthy and loves the company of other cats, so even better if you have friendly foster or pet cats that she could buddy around with. We would love for Macy to finally find a warm, safe and loving forever home or long-term foster home.

About PuppyKittyNyCity

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of volunteers who help community cats and rescue friendly stray cats and kittens. We are also working on initiatives to help reduce animal abandonment in Upper Manhattan!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have many cats with fosterers located throughout the five boroughs but also frequently go to adoption events. Just shoot us an email and we'll arrange a playdate with any kitty!

Our Adoption Process...

We typically send you a contract. After you complete and return it, we check your references and if everything is clear, schedule a time to do a home visit and then unite you with your future kitty! We often ask for a small nominal fee to cover the cost of care for our cats.
