  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With Black
  • Age: Puppy
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female

Wink & Abby had a rough beginning.  Born as the second litter for the year to a 12 year old mother, they lived outside in the weather and ate leaves to supplement their diet.  They were rescued at 4 weeks of age after we were informed the first two puppies had been given away at 3 weeks of age.  3 weeks later these girls are fat, happy and healthy.  They have been lovingly care for in their foster home and enjoy being energetic bundles of fun.  They love children, toys and other dogs.  Mother was a small under 20 lbs mixed breed and daddy a under 60 pound lab mix.  They have started their puppy vaccinations, deworming and received flea treatment.   They will be available for their forever home.

About Randolph Co. SPCA

About Our Rescue Group...

In April, 2013 a group of dedicated, community-minded volunteers formed Randolph County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). The organization’s mission is to support a pet-friendly, compassionate community committed to ending euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats by providing:

Community-based solutions to pet overpopulation, including a low or no-cost spay and neuter program.
An innovative program in schools, educating students about bite prevention and responsible pet ownership.
An easily accessible, uplifting adoption/community center.
Asheboro is undergoing a Renaissance, and part of its transformation is into a more dog-friendly city. As a community, we are extremely proud of initiatives such as the Sunset Theater, the Senior Center, and the Randolph Arts Guild. It is now time to focus on the plight of homeless animals and on the RSPCA Adoption/Education/Community Center, a family friendly facility and organization that will eventually have a dog park, hiking trails, and a memorial garden. Our vision is that Asheboro will be a place that attracts retirees with pets, a city where families can include their pets in outings and activities, a community where our furry friends are treated with love, respect and compassion.

We are a 501(c)(3) Tax Deductible Corporation (EIN# 46-1682011) and offer to our community low-cost or no-cost spaying or neutering services , a pet food pantry, a rehoming program that places dogs and cats in homes or transports them to nearby no-kill shelters. We also provide a “pet responsibility/bite prevention” weekly program in Farmer and Grays Chapel Elementary Schools. This program, which is staffed by retired educators and five canines, is expanding and eventually will be available to all elementary schools. Our Dogwill/Catwill Thrift Store located in the RSPCA building is open each Friday and Saturday and provides a constant stream of revenue.

Our next initiative is to remodel the building at 300 W. Bailey Street in Asheboro and open the community/adoption center full time.

Why an adoption fee?

When you adopt a pet from the RSPCA it will have been temperament tested, had a complete medical exam, and will be current on annual vaccines and tests. The dogs are also started on learning basic manners. As you can see the adoption fee is quite a bargain.

Adoption fees can vary or be waived depending on the individual animal. This is determined on a case by case basis.
