Sarah's Story...
Sarah's journey to SCR was a stroke of luck actually. Sarah was orginally impounded in Barstow, and was held there quite some time without an owner looking for her or anyone interested in adopting her. Then she was moved to Coachella shelter in an attempt to find her a home. But when that did not materialize, the shelter contacted SCR and asked if we could take her. We were able to do that. As it turns out, she had not been spayed, had memory tumors, and what teeth she had left were rotting. Despite all that, she has the most endearing personality, loves to fetch, and would be a great walking companion, and may even enjoy a jog or two. She has had her surgery and is right now recovering in her foster home. She has been a delight, and within the next 2-3 weeks will likely be well enough to be adopted. She is definately worth the wait.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sarah, a S. Pasadena Collie/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Corgi for sale in S. Pasadena, or seeking a Collie/Corgi dog from a breeder in S. Pasadena.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in S. Pasadena already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a S. Pasadena breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Corgi breeders who help with Collie/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in S. Pasadena paves the way for another one to be saved.
