Sarah's journey to SCR was a stroke of luck actually. Sarah was orginally impounded in Barstow, and was held there quite some time without an owner looking for her or anyone interested in adopting her. Then she was moved to Coachella shelter in an attempt to find her a home. But when that did not materialize, the shelter contacted SCR and asked if we could take her. We were able to do that. As it turns out, she had not been spayed, had memory tumors, and what teeth she had left were rotting. Despite all that, she has the most endearing personality, loves to fetch, and would be a great walking companion, and may even enjoy a jog or two. She has had her surgery and is right now recovering in her foster home. She has been a delight, and within the next 2-3 weeks will likely be well enough to be adopted. She is definately worth the wait.

About Southland Collie Rescue - LA-San Gabriel Valley

About Our Rescue Group...

Southland Collie Rescue, Inc. (SCR), a non-profit corporation located in the Southern California area, coordinates for several Collie Rescues in the Southland. All of our Collie Rescues find homes for purebred Collies and, when possible, Collie mixes from shelters, from people who have taken in strays, and from owners who can no longer care for their Collie. We foster our rescued Collies in private homes throughout Los Angeles and adjacent counties.
