Ellie Mae's Story...
ELLIE MAE

From a parking lot to a soft bed, here is Ellie Mae. Ellie Mae is a 1 1/2 year old chi cuddle bug. She weighs 9 pounds. Ellie Mae is affectionate and out going with humans and loves to play with other small dogs, ignoring the cats. Her most favorite things are eating and snuggling with her human. Despite a rough start in life, she is ready to move forward to a forever home where she will get lots of TLC. Ellie is house trained and is happy in a kennel when she needs to be there. She prefers sleeping in bed with her human and curling up on a lap. If you would like to make Ellie Mae part of your family, please fill out an application online at www.lapdogrescue.org and include her name at the top.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie Mae, a Tijeras Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
