Benson is a happy and affable senior citizen Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix boy that is looking for a loving, affectionate retirement home.  Benson is about 9 years old, weighs 70 lbs and is just the most wonderful all American boy.  This boy was found on a remote county road over by a dumpster that serves as the trash collection point for many people in the county.  It is a very common place for people to abandon dogs.  Benson was near the “dump” and when the rescue lady saw him and opened her car door, Benson wasted no time…he knew exactly what to do!  He jumped right in as if he knew where he was going next.  Benson is the definition of EASY.  He has a very natural temperament that just saunters through life and shows you what great style and gentlemanly manners he has at every turn.  He is a prince walking on leash and of course the famous car ride scene can be repeated to his delight every day if you would allow him to ride with you in the car.  When given affection and kind words of love, his eyes just melt in to pools of love and adulation.  Benson is a dog that will melt your heart.  He is grand with all dogs and he is not cat aggressive.  It's hard to believe he was abandoned on that rural country road, we think he is a treasure.  We like to say that Benson is a true Southern gentleman waiting for his new family to come along and be blessed with his unconditional love.  Everyone in this world could use a little Benson in their life…don’t you think?   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
