This is Taco, Taco is a coonhound, husky mix, he is alomst 2 years old and still acts like a puppy. Taco has learned some basic obedience but would benefit from farther work on his manners. Taco enjoys jumping up to say hello, and also can be a tad mouthy with arms. Taco is also very vocal at times and will let you know if he wants something. Taco has had some issues with small live stock animals in the past, so we are recommending he goes to home with out any live stock. Taco will also need a fully secure fenced yard, he loves to wander. Taco has a sensitive stomach and has been on a special diet to help with his digestion, so he will need to continue this special diet, until further discussed with a veterinary. The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
