Remember this lucky little guy? Meet Ricky! This is the same little fella we were able to rescue from the horrible baseball bat beating at Magazine Road Park a few weeks ago, and this little love bug is ready to find his new furever home! Be sure to watch his video of what a happy and playful dog he is.

Ricky is 15 months old, and weighs about 22 pounds. He's neutered, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations until November 2017. From spending time with him we know he is friendly with other dogs and people of all ages. He is housebroken, crate trained, plus he walks great on a leash. He is very focused on his handler, is loyal, and would make someone a wonderful companion!

If you would like to meet this lovable little boy, please contact us at 931-363-5455. Adoption fee is $120. Lets find him the home he deserves for the holidays! (jb)

About Giles County Humane Association

About Our Rescue Group...

We believe that family pets are family members who fill our lives with joy and meaning. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue group that strives to make a difference in the lives of animals within our rural community in south central Tennessee. Through education, awareness and our S/N Program for Giles County residents, we know that the result will be a huge reduction in the amount of local animals being euthanized. Rescues exist because of the overpopulation of cats and dogs. About 2.4 million healthy, adoptable cats and dogs—about one every 13 seconds—are put down in U.S. shelters each year. Often these animals are the offspring of cherished family pets. Spay/Neuter is a proven way to reduce pet overpopulation, ensuring that every pet has a family to love them.

The Giles County Humane Association lends a voice to those animals who cannot speak for themselves.

SAVE A LIFE ... ADOPT A HOMELESS PET!

Come Meet Our Pets...

All our adoptable pets are in foster homes where we socialize them with people and other animals. Along with local adoption events we are an agency partner with the PetSmart store in Spring Hill, TN, in The Crossings shopping center. Our cats can be seen during store hours in the Cat Adoption Room, and our dogs from 11am to 3pm on Saturdays. If you are interested in meeting one of our furbabies, simply contact us, and we will work with you to schedule a meeting. Since we are an all-volunteer rescue, please be patient, as it may take up to 72 hours for a response. Thank you!

Our Adoption Process...

Who says you can't buy love? Our adoption rates say different. Please contact us for the specific adoption fee, which covers the pet's spay or neuter, vaccinations, testing, and worming. We require interested parties to complete our adoption application with veterinarian and personal references. If approved we will work with you to schedule a meeting with the pet, and if you decide to adopt, our contract is the last step. We do not adopt to homes with intact pets or to people under 21 years of age.
