Anthem came to us as a stray from Williamsburg, MO. She came to us with her sister, Belle, and 3 younger dogs that we think are Belle's offspring. All 5 dogs that were rescued from Williamsburg had tick borne illnesses and were on treatment for a month, Anthem was one of the dogs in better shape from this rescue. However she did come to us very pregnant and soon gave birth to 7 puppies via C-section. Without veterinary intervention, Anthem surely would have not survived.  Anthem has since weened those puppies and all of them have found very loving homes. Now its Anthem's turn. Anthem is still very much a young dog. And loves to run around outside with her sister Belle and wrestle for hours. She loves her people though and enjoys snoozing away the afternoon on a nice comfortable sofa while you watch tv. Anthem has some of the softest ears you'll ever feel and you could easily spend several hours petting them. Anthem is a great friendly dog just looking for her forever family. Could you be the family for this wonderful dog? Fill out our application today!

About ARFF MO

About Our Rescue Group...

ARFF MO's mission is to promote public safety through education about responsible pet care as an alternative to banning breeds of dogs. We focus on education, legislation, and rescue to accomplish our goals. We rescue Pit Bull type dogs that are on "death row" due to breed specific legislation from the Fayette Dog Pound., We try to help other local dogs affected by BSL when possible. ARFF MO was created after the Fayette City Council passed a Pit Bull ban in Feb. 2009. We post pictures of our re-homed "death row dogs" on our website to educate the public about the true nature of these unfairly targeted for eradication pets.
