Margo is a 6 year old spayed female flat coat retriever mix who weighs 55 lbs. Margo was rescued from a high kill shelter after being picked up as a stray by the police. It was soon discovered that Margo had been adopted from the same shelter as an adorable fluffy puppy but when the owners were contacted to say she'd been found, they said they lost her 6 months ago and didn't want her back. How heartbreaking! Poor Margo was found in terrible condition and is missing most of the hair on the lower half of her body from what appears to be a flea allergy - she was infested with fleas when brought into the shelter. This sweet girl was clearly on her own for quite some time and is getting all the care she needs now. We aren't sure what Margo has been through during her life - despite being very sweet and clearly wanting affection, Margo is scared and cowers when you touch her. She seems to have very little confidence and likes to stick close by the people she trusts for comfort. Margo has been good with the dogs she's met although she is a bit timid with them, and she seemed scared of the cats. This beautiful soul was let down by her people, and we've promised to find her a family who will love and care for her for the rest of her days to make up for her sad past. Margo is such a well-behaved and gentle girl, we just know she'll make someone an amazing companion. Please help us find Margo the loving forever family she deserves!

About All 4 Paws Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

All 4 Paws Rescue, Inc. is a foster-based, all-breed, no-kill animal rescue based in Chester Springs, PA that offers rescue and sanctuary to animals in need. We do not have a physical shelter you can visit - all of our animals are housed in foster homes. All 4 Paws Rescue, Inc. is made up of volunteers and foster homes that care for and socialize our animals. Most of our animals have been rescued from "death row" from high-kill shelters and auctions and given a second chance at life. Our goal is to offer each and every one of these animals a safe, permanent and loving home. Please help us to give each of these animals the life they deserve.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do NOT have a physical shelter or kennel that you can visit. Since all of our pets live in foster homes, they can be seen by appointment only. The first step in our adoption process is to submit an application. Appointments are only made with approved adopters. If you have any questions, please email info@all4pawsrescue.com

We also frequently hold "Meet and Greet" Events.. Please check the "Events" page of our website for details.

Our Adoption Process...

We do our best to keep the adoption process straight-forward and simple in an effort to get our available pets into a permenant, stable and loving home in a timely manner. You will be asked to fill out an adoption application giving All 4 Paws Rescue, Inc. information about yourself, your family and your experience with pets. You will need to provide a vet reference and multiple personal references. Our goal is to find our animals the best possible home and if multiple applications are received, All 4 Paws Rescue, Inc. will make the decision as to which home would be best for that particular pet.

Please note, it takes us an average of 4-7 days to process an application. This timing may vary based on how quickly and easily your references are reached and how many applications are pending at that time. Please be patient. We will be in touch during the application process to update you on the status of your application.

PLEASE NOTE :

**We DO require that ALL dogs and cats in your household are spayed or neutered, kept up-to-date on vaccines and that they are seen annually for a check-up.

**We do NOT require a fenced in yard unless otherwise noted for a specific pet.

**We do NOT allow our cats to be declawed before or after adopting.

**We do NOT have restrictions regarding children in an adoptive household unless otherwise noted for a specific pet.

**We do NOT SHIP animals. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets and live outside of our area, you will be required to come meet and adopt the animal in person if your application is approved.

**We do NOT hold animals.

**We do NOT adopt to anyone under 21 years old.

**ALL APPLICANTS MUST GO THROUGH OUR ENTIRE ADOPTION APPLICATION PROCESS - WE DO NOT MAKE EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.

DOG ADOPTION FEES

Our adoption fee for dogs is $450 - that includes a wellness exam, all age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing when age appropriate, heartworm treatment if necessary, worming, microchip and registration, flea/tick treatment. PLEASE NOTE - we do offer discounted adoption fees to families adopting more than one dog, senior dogs and dogs with special needs when possible.

Regarding our adoption fee: We are often asked, "Why do you charge "so much" for a rescue pet? Why not just place it in a "good home"?" The answer is because we need adopters who are willing to support ALL of our rescued animals, not just the one they are adopting. A young, healthy dog might cost us $250-$400 in (discounted) vet care to prepare it for adoption, and many people will want to adopt that dog. An older dog or a special needs dog or a dog with health issues can easily cost us $500-$2,000 in veterinary expenses, and it may require months of foster care to prepare such a dog for adoption. Yet for a senior dog or a special needs dog, we can only ask a minimal adoption fee, and it may be a long time until anyone comes forward to adopt it. Fees from the younger, more adoptable dogs help offset the cost of caring for the others who need us. Most of our dogs have a sad story to tell, and some have suffered through years of neglect or abuse. We hope that you are willing to help us offer a better life to ALL of our animals by supporting them through our adoption fees. Without these adoption fees, we would not be able to save the lives that we save.

Cat Adoption Fees

Our adoption fees for cats and kittens is $150 cat/kitten. Our cats/kittens have received all age appropriate vaccines; spay/neuter surgery, FIV/FELV testing, worming, microchip and registration, and flea/tick treatment.
