Bella's Story...
Meet Bella! Bella is a 1-2 year old, 35 pound, boxer mix that was rescued from the local animal shelter after being surrendered along with her four puppies - whom she looked after until the day that they were adopted. Now it is her turn! If there was a national award for the snuggliest dog, then she would get it every year. You'll realize this upon meeting her - no matter where you sit, Bella will be right there next to you with her head in your lap. Bella only has one goal in life and that is to do everything that she can to make her family happy and love them with everything that she has in her. She is very protective of her humans and would do pretty much anything to make sure that her family members (including kids, whom she LOVES) are safe. She is not very hyper dog at all, relatively laid back, though she does enjoy to play. Bella is crate-trained, but is also the best snuggle buddy who absolutely loves to sleep in the bed with her human. While Bella would make the best family pet in town, she needs to go to a home without cats. Bella, due to a lack of proper socialization earlier in life- no fault of her own, tends to be testy around other dogs. It seems that she reacts out of fear and protection for her puppies and her human. Bella will make the perfect house pet- just keep any donuts or cupcakes out of reach!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Southbury Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Southbury, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Southbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
