Dharma is a gorgeous, 7 year-old Pomeranian lap dog who needs a new home due to no fault of her own.  She loves people; however, she is shy around newcomers until she learns that she can trust them, and she sometimes cowers until she feel safe. Dharma gets along with children, but since she weighs only 7 lbs., only older children are recommended.  Care should be taken because she is sometimes protective of her food and toys.  It is best if she is an only dog since she is selective about what dogs she likes. This foxy lady is pad-trained which is convenient for someone not able to take her outside.

The suggested donation amount for Dharma is $300, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue.  To fill out an application, please visit the following web address:!adopt-a-pet/c7cy The adoptions for all of our dogs will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. About Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue, Inc. is a not for profit organization formed in 2014 by a small group of devoted animal lovers, in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area, with many years of rescue experience wanting to make a difference in the lives of dogs. Our rescue focuses on small breed dogs, less than 35 pounds, of any age. It is all volunteer based, and all of our rescue dogs are living in the homes of our volunteers.
Our rescue is unique in that we offer supportive services, such as education and training, to owners considering relinquishing their pet in an effort to try to keep the dog in their home whenever possible. We also educate and offer placement assistance to owners attempting to rehome their pets through social media sites, which can often be risky for the pets as well as the owners.
