Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. Dallas is the kind of pup who snuggles in, loves you up and then puts his tiny head on your shoulder. He's so new and fresh with every possibility open to him. That's the case unless a puppy is in a high-kill shelter that quickly runs out of space. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuers in saving Dallas ...she could see that his temperament was so sweet and lovable that she couldn't allow him to be euthanized.
Dallas was immediately brought to be vetted and then brought to a great Houston foster home to receive pure love and begin his education. It turns out that Dallas, at just 8 weeks old and 2.5 lbs is already so smart and engaging that his foster could see that he'll be a great family companion. Dallas is expected to be approximately 30 lbs when full-grown (perfect hiking size!).
Dallas is such a great spirit that it's become a fun and rewarding experience for his foster mom. Dallas is cute as a button and so silly. He is like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around him. If Dallas continues his foster mom's regimen of socialization that promote positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with humans...he will become a well-adjusted and pleasant adult companion.
Dallas is a gorgeous Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix puppy with the cutest face ever and a cottony-soft coat that speaks of good health. Dallas's sometimes calm and often silly demeanor is just who he is...he just appears to be more entertaining than your average puppy. If he is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, Dallas will become a well-adjusted guy who respects his people as his leaders. This is the kind of family we're searching for for this sweet and cuddly puppy.
We also feel it's very important that Dallas is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. He would be overjoyed with walks along Colorado paths enjoying the sunshine. We'd like a family who spends lots of time at home or chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Dallas can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community and can therefore accompany his family just about anywhere.
Dallas may be arriving in Boulder unfixed due to his very young age...Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs in regard to his neuter, microchip and any additional puppy shots he might require.
Dallas's teddy bear coat will require a commitment to periodic sudsy baths. Serious brushing combined with great nutrition will keep this puppy's coat healthy, matt-free and silky-soft.
Dallas will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 12/1/16. If interested in this beautiful and very sweet companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
