STUNNING BONDED GIRL & BOY KITTENS FULL OF AFFECTION AND PLAYFULNESS

Hello friends! My name is Vanilla. I'm here with my bonded best friend Fauna to tell you why you will fall in love with us and should quickly adopt us together into your family! Our friends here at King Street Cats can't believe how lucky our new human(s) will be to have us as family members.

We were both born in the Spring of 2016. I was born around the beginning of June and Fauna was born in the middle of May. He was welcomed into the KSC family from a public shelter because it was so clear what an adoptable boy he is.

I was found wandering alone outdoors by myself - when you see what a gorgeous, silky and fluffy little kitten I am you'll have a hard time believing that's how I started out.

When I came to KSC I met Fauna and we fell in love with each other. We spend all of our time with each other, we've become best friends, and we need to be adopted into the same home together. It's going to be a wonderful thing for all of us!

There's no one like Fauna - he is a genuine bunny cat! Or, should I say, a bunny-eared cat. Look at his remarkably beautiful ears... His beauty doesn't stop there. He is a plush, soft boy with silky fur that appears black but will reveal chocolate highlights in a hidden tabby pattern when the light shines on him in a certain way. He has lovely bright eyes and he's a joy to behold.

I am a stunning little girl with snowy white medium-length fur (medium length fur is really beautiful) and a charcoal grey splash over my right ear. I have a graceful face with bright round green eyes and a pastel pink nose. Everyone who meets me can't help but remark on how beautiful I am.

Fauna and I are going to make the most photogenic family members around! That's not all... we're amusing, delightful and affectionate. Fauna loves to play. Wait until you see him I am a lovebug ready to dispense affection every time I see you. We both have gentle personalities.

Don't let the prospect of adopting two kittens worry you - it benefits everyone. Same-species companionship is important for compatible cats and especially so for kittens. We provide each other the opportunity to burn energy (very important for indoor housecats, as we will be) through play and exercise. We groom each other.

We moderate each other's behavior as we learn. Here's a hypothetical example - if he nips me, I'll swat him - then he'll think twice before nipping me again! We snuggle and cuddle and sleep together. We entertain and provide each other with a sense of security when you cannot be with us.

You, in turn, don't have to worry about leaving a cat alone when you have to go out, and you will enjoy twice the happiness and companionship.

We're both wonderful, beautiful babies who can't wait to go home. Come meet us! It's easy to et started: send an email to contact@kingstreetcats.org and ask for us, Vanilla and Fauna.

Beautifully yours,
Vanilla and Fauna

About King Street Cats

About Our Shelter...

We are proud to be the only cat-exclusive orphanage in Alexandria, Va. We have been in operation since 2003, and were previously known as The Albert Foundation for many years before becoming King Street Cats. Because we are a free-roaming and no-kill cat orphanage, we have the "cat-friendliest cats" in town! Our primary purpose is to educate and assist the community in regard to cat welfare, and to provide loving homes for the cats and kittens in our care. We accomplish this through outreach to the local community by providing information on proper cat care, behavioral problems and medical issues involving cats. We also assist local residents in locating and retrieving lost cats and assist individuals through the cat adoption process. We provide abandoned and rescued cats and kittens with a safe and secure temporary home until a permanent, loving home can be found.

We promote spaying and neutering and all our cats and kittens are sterilized and fully up-to-date on all medical care prior to adoption. We also provide post-adoption support for adopters and anyone else that needs cat care advice. Because we only work in the area of cat welfare .... we know cats! Please stop by and visit with our friendly cats.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Additional Adoption Events:

- Profeed at Bradlee Shopping Center on Saturdays and Sundays (1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
- Petsmart at Falls Church on 3rd/4th Sunday of the month (1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process is simple. When you come to the adoption center, you will fill out an application and a volunteer will interview you and ask about your cat knowledge and experience as well as your other pets. If your application is approved, they will help match you to the cat is perfect for your home and lifestyle. Some adult cats may be adopted singly, but we prefer to adopt out kittens in pairs unless you have a playful cat or dog already in residence to keep the kitten company.

King Street Cats asks for a $125 non-refundable adoption fee to adopt a cat or kitten, or $225 to adopt two. The fee includes:

- A cat that has been to a vet and tested for FELV/FIV. They are not put up for adoption unless the tests are negative (although sometimes we do have an FIV-positive cat that is healthy and can be adopted).
- An adult cat that is up-to-date on vaccinations before being made available for adoption. (Kittens will have had vaccinations appropriate for their age)
- Cats and kittens are spayed or neutered before they are placed for adoption. Kittens are spayed/neutered between 12-14 weeks and are then available for adoption.
- Post-adoption support: our volunteers are very knowledgeable about cat care. We encourage adopters to call us with any questions.
