I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

I am up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

It got scarily close to Cosmo's euthanasia time in a dismal Kansas shelter. It was definitely through no fault of his's all a matter of space. He came in at a very crowded time (but then again..all times are very crowded) and was therefore given a very short window in which to be rescued. After a scramble by our very compassionate Kansas rescuer (she has a soft spot for a really cute fuzzy guy with a great temperament!), Cosmo was pulled out of the shelter at the last second possible. His rescuer, shelter workers and Cosmo's foster haven't stopped raving about this adorable and engaging guy ever since. Cosmo is wonderful, very smart and would be a great addition to any family who loves the fun and silliness of a scruffy Terrier.

Cosmo, at 2,5 - 3 years old and approximately 10 lbs is the perfect size to take along just about anywhere. He is such a perfect candidate to find his forever home in Colorado - he's a natural-born walker (still learning about the leash but getting better by the moment) with the energy and enthusiasm to accompany his favorite person on any walking path. We envision Conrad with an active family with older, respectful kids or active retirees who enjoy spending their time with a comical fuzzy guy. He would be a very family-oriented pup if given the chance...adventures, vacations or just hanging out at home would speak to the nature of this guy. A fun time would be exploring dog-friendly spots or time spent socializing with other playful canines and their dog-loving families. At the end of the day...there would be nothing better for Cosmo than to snuggle down with his family of humans and canines..he is unknown with cats.

Cosmo can be counted on to be a truly positive addition to any home. He is a low-maintenance guy whose joy at being part of a committed family would know no bounds. Cosmo would shine in positive reinforcement group obedience classes since his desire to please is strong...and it would create that special bond that exists between a trained, respectful dog and his people.

After passing his temperament tests and vetting with flying colors, Cosmo was being reminded of his basic house skills. His rescuers have described him as a lovebug and a sweetpea...can we possibly say more? They also said that Cosmo's tail never stops wagging in his joy at his second chance in life.

We're requested that Cosmo be neutered prior to his transport to Denver. We're not optimistic that this will occur. If it doesn't...Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Cosmo's neuter and microchip if our Denver vet is used.

Cosmo is in huge need of a sudsy bath and a grooming …. he will emerge with an amazing white and honey colored coat that over time will speak of cottony scruffiness and good health. Cosmo will require a commitment periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his lovely coat healthy, cottony-soft and matt-free.

Cosmo will be arriving on transport in Denver on Tuesday 11/15/16. Applications are currently being accepted for this adorable pup. An application can be found at If you're interested in this extremely sweet, cuddly and fun-loving guy, please fill out and return to, fax to 303-443-7730 or mail a hard copy to Farfel's Farm 906 Pearl Street Boulder, CO 80302.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cosmo-ADOPTION PENDING, a Boulder Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
