Katie is an exceptionally sweet 9 year old female Cattledog mix that was previously adopted from us 6 years ago. Sadly she was recently returned to Canine Lifeline due to the declining health of her owners and their inability to continue to care for her. She is an absolute gem, who acts much younger than her estimated years. Katie is an ideal guest in her foster home. She interacts beautifully with the other dogs and enjoys exploring the fenced-in back yard. In that she craves companionship, she would do best in a home with another compatible canine; we have been told by her owners that she is prone to chasing cats. Katie is playful and affectionate, who enjoys cuddle time and seems to be housetrained. Katie has the delightful personality of a younger dog, combined with the manners that come with maturity.

Katie weighs about 27 pounds and her adoption fee is $125. She's spayed, current on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Katie. An approved application is required before we set up meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junk mail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.

About Canine Lifeline

About Our Rescue Group...

Canine Lifeline is an all volunteer 501(c)3 organization with a mission to save adoptable dogs from being euthanized at shelters due to overcrowding or treatable medical conditions such as heartworm. All of our dogs are in foster homes throughout northeast Ohio.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Canine Lifeline takes adoptable dogs to Petco in Macedonia most Sunday's. We also participate in many adoption events throughout the summer months. Please check our website at www.caninelifeline.org for the most current adoption event listing.

Our Adoption Process...

All Canine Lifeline dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations including a one-year rabies, and are on monthly heartworm preventative. In the warmer months of the year, our dogs are also on a flea and tick preventative. The adoption fee for dogs 7 months up to 7 years of age is $200. Senior dogs may be adopted for a reduced fee of $125. Puppies 6 months and under are $275. Since all of our dogs come from shelters and have been stray or abandoned at least once in their lives, we want to make sure that their next home is for keeps. That’s why each adoption comes with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a perfect match before the adoption is finalized.
