Meet Akiko! She is such a soft and pretty little kitty. She has very large ears, a white vest and socks, a partly pink nose, and the cutest white tip on her long tail. She purrs and meows softly.

Akiko has a super fun and playful side! She loves feather dangle toys, leather mice, real fur toys, the laser dot, bugs, and plastic toy balls with noisy pellets in them. Occasionally she responds to catnip. She loves to watch the birds out the windows and even enjoys videos for cats on her foster mom's tablet, especially with bird sounds or squeaky mice. Akiko has the adorable habit of greeting her foster mom at the door when she comes home and then following her around the house.

Akiko also has a side that is a little confusing for us. At times, she can get stressed out easily due to loud noises or fast movement, but she enjoys plenty of exercise and playtime. While in our care, she doesn’t appear to like to be petted or picked up much and therefore is happy to spend the night alone in her room quietly and will come out in the morning after a good rest. When Akiko is adopted, she will need some time with very little stimulation to feel relaxed and safe in her new home. The more time she has in a quiet and peaceful environment, the more relaxed she will feel. Her foster mom has found an herbal calming supplement that seems to help Akiko feel better. We feel Akiko may need a home with no other cats, no dogs, and no children.

Akiko is our feature kitty for the special price of $70.  No other discounts apply.

This cat has been combo-tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, received all age-appropriate vaccinations and is altered.

About G.R.A.S.P., Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

G.R.A.S.P. stands for Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets. GRASP's goal is to give animals, primarily those picked up by Greece Animal Control, a second chance for a safe, happy, and healthy life. Before G.R.A.S.P., Inc. was formed, animals that were not claimed by their owners were routinely euthanized. We also strive to educate the public on the benefits of spay/neuter and the need to tag their pets at all times. G.R.A.S.P., Inc. is a non-profit organization and is completely dependent upon donations from the public.
