Parker's Story...
Parker is a 3YO, 7lb toy poodle.
Parker was dumped at a high kill, overcrowded shelter in TX. It was very clear that his previous "family" had not taken the best care of Parker. His hair was very tangled and dirty and he was pretty terrified. Our hearts could not handle Parkers sad eyes in the TX shelter so we pulled it out of the shelter and got him into a loving foster home until we were able to get him to CO. Here is what Parkers foster has to say about him.

" All 7.8 lbs of him are going to make a beautiful pet for the right patient person(s). It is my understanding that he came from a home with many animals and he tends to want to stay close, but is nervous at first about being held But contrary to that, he will also come close and give a quick lick. I was not feeling well yesterday and he found his way up on our bed and came to sit beside me with our other two dogs.
I'm thinking he had to be competitive for food in the past. He is not aggression or protective of his food at all, but gulps it down super quick. he first day, he ate so quickly that he threw up. He definitely could use another pound in weight....poor guy
His personality is precious. He misses nothing. Always watching his "people". I've not heard him make a sound EXCEPT he barked twice at our window washer on Saturday. Not a sound before or since.
Bathroom habits are perfect! He is trained to potty pads. I tried to take him outside with mine and he went for the outside door that leads to the potty pads inside. We have had only one accident. Doesn't want any part of the outdoor pottying and is not yet accustomed to a leash. That being said he is very smart, so I am sure with some patience he will learn quickly, it just seems he was never taught,
Loves to be around my two pups. No problems there.
He will be beautiful when groomed. Tail is long and not docked."

We believe that Parker would be great for an an individual or couple who has lots of time, patience, and love to give to Parker. He has the potential to be such a wonderful, loving dog. He just needs some help and someone to teach him what love really is. At this time, we think that Parker should go a home with no kids or older kids since he still needs to learn to trust humans a little more. We know Parker is such a wonderful dog and is going to make someone VERY happy!

Parker is a low-non shedding dog, so he will need regular grooming appointments to keep him looking handsome.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Parker, a Boulder Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) dog from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) breeders who help with Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
