Keanu's Story...
Hello! My name is Killer but I’ve been renamed Keanu. I am 9 years old and currently weigh 6 lbs. I came in a couple of weeks ago with my best friend Baby. My foster mom is currently trying to help Baby lose weight (Baby thinks she is trying to starve her to death) so when it is feeding time, I have to be fed in a different location or Baby will turn on her vacuum and suck all of her food up and then clean my dish out also and I don’t need to lose any weight.

I am neutered, UTD on shots and on HW preventative. I also had a dental and I am paper trained and do not go outside My foster mom put me outside once and I thought the world was coming to an end.

I am very friendly and love attention. If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an application.

To submit an adoption application go here... http://www.chihuahua-rescue.org/chihuahuas-for-adoption/online-application/

Reference checks and a home visit are required so she can only be adopted in NC/SC and VA. If you have any questions, please contact carolinascoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com.

My adoption donation is $200.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keanu, a Durham Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Durham, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Durham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Durham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Durham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Durham paves the way for another one to be saved.
