Hi my name is Rufus

Rufus, a young Sheepdog mix, came into rescue from a remote community. Upon arrival it was noted that he had a limp. Xrays revealed a fractured hip...an injury he had been living with for quite some time. With the help of Catrysse Veterinary Services, Rufus had the hip repaired and he is ready to find his forever home. Due to his injury, Rufus will need to be on bladder medication for the rest of his life and that's something his new adopters must be prepared for. (Approx $50 per month ) He also will need haircuts to keep him looking handsome so regular grooming costs must also be taken into consideration when adopting this big boy. Rufus is living with other dogs and cats and enjoys the company of both. Any potential family must have another dog to keep him company as he is not suited to being an only dog. Due to his hip injury Rufus is not suited to a high activity lifestyle and his exercise should be kept to low impact.
