Facts about Dollie

  • Breed: German Shepherd Dog
  • Color: Black - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Dollie is around 1.5 years old and is looking for an experience gsd handler who will give her a job but be sensitive to her emotional needs. She is a high energy up for anything type of gal who loves to use her nose and seek out adventure. Dollie is potty trained, crate trained and has pretty good house manners for being so young. She is good with other dogs outside the home not a big fan of sharing with other k9s, besides; she would thrive getting all the attention. Dollie is very food motivated and eager to learn and please her owner. We do recommend enrolling her in training with a specific area like nose work or agility to get her mind to work and having a fun project for the two of you. Along with the basics dollie will need to learn how to respect her handler. Dollie loves to play fetch, she rides well in the car, enjoys her walks and meeting new people. We are asking the home have no children since she is very mouthy and can get overly excited. Dollie will need a home without kitties since her prey drive is high and at least a 6′ fence to keep her safe. If you are looking for a new buddy to work with then Dollie would love to meet you.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopting a German Shepherd Rescue of the Rockies Dog

We would like to thank you for visiting our website and considering one of our adoptable dogs to become your new family member. All of our dogs have been tossed aside for various reasons and our goal is to find them one last home where they can live out the rest of their lives with love and happiness. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we hope to be able to rescue many dogs every year. We place our dogs in a daycare facility so we can observe their social behavior and then into a foster home to learn house manners and teach them basic obedience. After we get to know our dogs we interview each candidate to find the right home that will fit each dog’s personality and needs. We will provide the necessary vet care, bring them up-to-date on vaccinations as well as spay or neuter our dogs. We will work with our rescue dogs that need a little help to trust and love people again, meanwhile improving their social behavior. We will stay involved and be there for each adopted dog for the duration of its life.

The adoption fee for our dogs is $300, which includes a veterinary heath examination, up-to-date vaccinations, a micro-chip, dogs will be spayed or neutered, they will come with a dog collar, and ID tag. Senior dog adoption fees will be posted separately for each dog.

If you see a dog on our website that you would like to meet, please fill out the Adoption Application and one of our volunteers will contact you.
