Facts about Obi

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Obi is a loving, easygoing, playful older kitten who would be suitable for almost any kind of home. He plays with other cats but doesn't pester them. And he likes to follow his people around. He is potentially special needs due to a urinary tract blockage he developed several months ago. The problem has not recurred and he is thriving on a non-prescription diet of canned food from Lotus, a new brand featuring high quality ingredients and extra moisture. He is a happy soul who would bring joy into any household and who should not be held back due to one potential issue that may not recur.

About North Brooklyn Cats

About Our Rescue Group...

North Brooklyn Cats specializes in taking in orphaned "bottle-babies" from other rescues and from the streets of our neighborhood. These tiny kittens require round-the-clock care and often don't do well in a shelter environment. We also rescue cats and kittens from the NYC kill shelters. Trap-Neuter-Release, TNR, is also a big part of what we do. The friendly straycats and kittens that are often found on the streets also become candidates for adoption. We have many years experience volunteering and working for shelters and rescue organizations in New York City.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We present a selection of cats and kittens for adoption every Sunday from 1 to 5 pm at Muddy Paws Pet Supplies, 447 Graham Ave., Williamsburg, Brooklyn. North Brooklyn Cats also works with other rescue groups, sharing resources, and participating in group adoption events whenever possible.

Our Adoption Process...

Cat and kitten adoptions require a $125.00 donation, which helps us cover the costs of delivering them already spayed/neutered, tested for felv/fiv, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any health problems we were aware of. We generally require that kittens under five months of age be adopted in two's unless you already have another pet. Adoptions require an application that asks for two references and a contract. We deliver your new cat to your home, generally within a few days of getting your application. We are happy to help should you need advice or assistance with your new companion before or after the adoption.
