Meet Willie, one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! Willie was found in rough shape on the streets of Tijuana, Mexico. Luckily one of rescue partners found him, and was able to nurse him back to health before becoming a member of the TAP family! Willie is about 2 years old, and believed to be a Pit Bull/Beagle mix. He is super smart and learned ‘sit’ the first day his foster had him. He is great with kids and other dogs, but when there are people around, he’d rather get pets instead of playing with the other dogs. Willie is super submissive, and does very well with dogs who try and challenge him. He gives them kisses on the lips to let them know that he’s a lover, not a fighter! Willie loves going to dog beach, and just recently learned how to swim. He is very food/treat motivated, which makes him very easy to train. Willie is just an all-around amazing pup who is ready for his forever family! Willie is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and catching onto housetraining very well. His adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in adopting Willie, please fill out our online adoption application:

About The Animal Pad - CA Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

The Animal Pad is a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue devoted to saving the lives of dogs facing euthanasia at high kill animal shelters. Our focus is on abused, neglected, injured, and otherwise special needs dogs; in addition to a focus on CA's overpopulated breeds, such as pit bulls, pit-mixes, and chihuahuas. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home locally.

We are dedicated to animal advocacy, and educating dog owners on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. We are a foster based rescue, and rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of the amazing people who make donations toward the rescue and care of the dogs we save.

We are always looking for adopters, fosters, donations, volunteers, etc.. Please let us know if you would like to get involved by contacting us at one of the email addresses found below.
