This is our little sweetie Lorelei.  She came into the shelter as a stray and won everyone's hearts.  Estimated at about 1 1/2 yr old (mid May), she still acts like a kitten.  She loves to cuddle with humans. She often would jump up into her foster mom's lap and fall asleep.

Lorelei is independent. She is very curious and likes to know what her humans are doing, following them around the house. She gets along with other dogs and cats with time, more so cats than dogs.

She is a door darter. Very important to know. She is interested in all doors and cupboards.  A potential adopter would need to be careful that she does not get out.  We are pretty sure that is how she got to us.  She now has a microchip.  See photos of her vet visit.  She even darted out when the vet came in.

She probably has a little Siamese in her, based on her somewhat crossed eyes.

Adoption fee is $100.  If interested please call 314-792-5805 with questions or fill out an application at www.sapamo.org.

Come Meet Our Pets...

At this time the guests in our shelter are available to be seen through appointment only. Please contact us to schedule a meet and greet.

Our adoption events are held at the St.Ann PetCo.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting a pet from us we first require an adoption application filled out. Once the application is submitted one of our adoption counselors will contact you to set up a formal meet and greet. If the decision is made that it is a good fit between you and the pet we will then set up a home visit. Often times the meet and greet and home visit can be done at the same time for your convenience.
Our adoption fee for dogs is $150.00. This covers our costs for vet services. When adopting a pet from us the pet will be spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, micro chipped and tested for internal parasites and other disease such as heart-worms and FeLuke and FIV. We accept the adoption fee and a formal adoption contract when the pet is turned over to you. Should the pet not work out in your home or should a life changing event happen and you are no longer able to keep the pet we ask that the pet be returned to us or that we are notified of new ownership. We will always take our pets back, however, the fee is non refundable.
