Maggie's Story...
I’m a catch. Seriously…I don’t want to toot my own horn, but sometimes you have to put subtlety aside and say things like “I’m one of the most kick a** dogs you’re ever going to meet!” Let’s get one thing out of the way and move on to the goods: I am a puppy, a big playful puppy in need of a lot of love and lot of training. Unfortunately, if you’re not prepared to put in a 110% of your love, please move on, I’m not the girl for you. Now, if you’re still reading this, you are in for a treat. I’m a real lover. I’m outgoing, affectionate, and fun, I’m crate trained, love to play with other dogs, adore study children, and nothing gets my tail wagging like a good cat chase. Now, I’m hoping you can provide me with the security of a forever home, with all the love you can spare! 7 months old-42lbs. My adoption fee is $240 and includes spay, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Portland Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Portland, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
